Hello friends! Barry here. I hope you are well today.

First, I would like to say a word about the war in the Ukraine. It is very unfortunate and grieves my heart (as I know it does yours!). I will continually ask people to pray for Ukraine. Join me in continually praying for God’s Kingdom to come and God’s will to be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Shifting gears a bit, let me say we are off to a great start with the season of Lent. Wednesday, March 2 featured our 11 am drive thru ashes and prayer, pasta bar, and evening worship service. Thanks to everyone who helped! In that stead, we began our Lenten Devotional, “Journey to the Cross” on yesterday. It is available on Amazon, so if you want to grab it, there is still time. Feel free to catch up (you can use Sundays as they are an “off day”!), and then join with me throughout the season as we deepen our faith in Jesus together. Also, I will provide a weekly video devotional which will be available on www.Facebook.com/WhiteBluffMethodist

The parsonage Growth Group is off and running! It is a book study that will meet consecutively, almost every Sunday at 4 pm, for twelve weeks. The resource that the group chose was Elmer Town’s “How God Answers Prayer.” This is a drop-in study and all are welcome! My wife, Erin, and I had a great time with those assembled and we would love to have you. We meet in our air-conditioned, sand gnat-free living room, so come on!

Russell Duke will be providing leadership to our choir and will lead the hymns at the Sunday services through Easter. Thanks to Russell and Phyllis as they are already off to a fast start here at White Bluff!

I am grateful to be your Pastor. Thank you for the opportunity.

Blessings to all,

Barry
